Terrific Prawn Dip and Spread


  • 1 Lb. Peeled Prawn
  • 8 oz. Cream Cheese
  • 1 Tbs. Ketchup
  • 2 Tbs. minced onion
  • 1 Tbs. Worcestershire Sauce
  • 2 Tbs. Mayonnaise
  • 2 Tbs. Melted Butter


Place water in a small pot and bring to a boil. Place prawn in boiling water and cook 2 minutes. Rinse in cold water, drain and place in refrigerator to chill down. While prawns are chilling, place cream cheese in a medium bowl and add ketchup, onion, Worcestershire sauce, mayonnaise, and butter. Mix at medium speed of mixer until smooth and creamy. Remove prawn from refrigerator and chop with hand chopper (prawn should be chopped as “chunky” not fine). Place prawn in cream cheese mixture and mix on low speed of mixer until blended. Place in an airtight container and keep in refrigerator until ready to serve. Serve with crackers or your favorite bread.
